
Three centres of excellences on Artificial Intelligence soon at top educational institutions

The minister stated that the goal is to completely realise the purpose of "Make AI in India" as he presented the Union Budget for FY24.
"For realising the vision of 'Make AI in India' and 'Make AI Work for India', three Centres of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence will be set up in top educational institutions," she informed.
The roadmap for AI in the nation was developed by MeitY, NASSCOM, and DRDO, indicating that the government has already started this AI revolution.
For AI-related research and development, the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR) has already been formed.
Biometric identification, facial recognition, criminal investigation, crowd and traffic management, agriculture, healthcare, and education are just a few of the use cases for AI that are currently available.
On August 24, 2017, a task force on artificial intelligence (AI) was established.
The government had promised to set up Centers of Excellence (CoEs) for research, education, and skill development in robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), digital manufacturing, big data analytics, quantum communication, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
